How is it Different?

Smaller Classes

As opposed to the class offered in the Junior Golf Academy, Swing Development classes accept 6 juniors per class. This allows students more one-on-one time with the teacher and provide a more focused learning environment.

Advanced Analytics

These classes use TrackMan Dual Radar technology to help students break down each aspect of their swing. Analytics include club and ball speed, accurate distance readings, and in-depth breakdowns of the club path and face to path.

Technical Focus

These classes will help students build an in-depth understanding of their golf swing. With a very scientific approach, students will gain a deeper understanding of how each element of their golf club and swing integrate together.

What’s in the Box

  • Swing Analysis

    With each shot, students will get a comprehensive analysis of the ball flight, trajectory, and carry and total distance as well as their club path, face to path, impact location on the club face, spin and attack angles and more.

  • Putting Analysis

    Students learn how to read greens and breaks as well as learn more about their putting such as stroke distance, launch angle and direction, and impact height and offset.

  • Comprehensive Reports

    At the end of each session, students will receive an extensive report on the shots they hit during their time on the TrackMan. These reports include club data and trajectory, dispersion, and optimization on every ball hit.

  • One-on-One Instruction

    With class sizes limited to six (6) students total, students switch off between hitting on their own under the supervision of a second instructor and getting individual attention and time on the TrackMan with the head pro.

The Fine Print

 

These classes are currently only open to juniors from age 8 to 17 and are separate from the Junior Program. Students do not have to be enrolled in the Junior Golf Academy to participate in the Swing Development Classes. Unlike the Junior program, these classes are exclusively instructional and do not include any course time or group games or activities.

The Swing Development Classes are intended for students looking to build their swing and play competitively whether that be for a high school team or US Kids and VCJGA/SCPGA Junior tours. Students are expected to be able to practice on their own under the supervision of a second instructor during class. Due to the advanced nature of the topics covered, these classes may not be suitable for beginners or younger children.
